Since June of 2000, he has been involved with professional displays through Pyro Spectaculars, one of the most respected fireworks display compaines in the world. His degrees in Electrical Engineering, experience with rocketry, career in the Aerospace industry, and passion for fireworks give him insight to all the workings of the world of pyrotechnics.
Mike has done work for the Discovery Channel Show Mythbusters, in the episode titled "Ming-Dynasty Astronaut", where he designed and built the electrical firing system to simultaneously ignite 47 rocket engines. In addition, he participated in the design of the black powder rocket engines. Mike also did an on camera interview as the "pyrotechnic expert" on The Learning Channel (TLC) for a show titled, "99 Most Bizarre - Self Inflicted Injuries". |
